Rural Electrification
Target of Govt. of West Bengal to electrify all household with shortest possible time. West Bengal State Electricity Board is working in war footing basis to achieve the target set by Govt. of West Bengal. Rural Electrification department of WBSEDCL has completed 37,945 village electrification, 32,41,392 BPL & 13,91,790 APL Service connections as on 31.03.2016 (96.08% of Rural households) through different schemes viz. RGGVY Xth Plan , RGGVY XI th plan , WBREP, BRGF , RGGVY XIIth plan , DDUGJY , SDB , Sagar etc.
The running projects are BRGF, RGGVY XIIth plan , DDUGJY and SDB which are likely to be completed as per schedule shown in following table :

31 nos. 33/11 KV Sub-Stations were already commissioned under the Scheme of RGGVY –XI, REDB- I & II , BRGF. 16 Nos. Sub-Stations will be completed within December, 2016.
